Throughout his three-decade career, Braugher showcased his talent in various television roles. Including revivals of classic crime series like Kojak and notable performances in projects like Thief. For which he won his second Emmy in 2006.

He spoke candidly about the challenges of portraying police on television in a 2020 interview. Emphasizing the need to collectively address the pervasive myths perpetuated by cop shows.
