T20 World Cup semi-final push(India’s aim) || Attack on Imran khan

MELBOURNE: Allrounder Ravichandran Ashwin said Saturday India must pile the pressure on early and be clinical in their execution if they want to get past Zimbabwe and into the T20 World Cup semi-finals

The two teams meet at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday after India’s tight five-point palm over Bangladesh saw them top Group 2 with six points from four matches(T20 World Cup semi-finals).

They beat the Africans to the last four.
Side-wise, they could still be caught if they are beaten, depending on the outcome of Sunday’s other matches, which will see South Africa take on the Netherlands and Pakistan against Bangladesh.

“Simply, we need to be as clinical as possible. No brigades (in this event) represent any encounter,” Ashwin said. “We’ve got to go out and disrupt that early stage with the club and still carry those good colosseums to put the pressure on.
“The good brigades will be clinical and pile on the pressure and it’s just a competition, we know that.

“We are looking forward to the match,” he added. “But Zimbabwe have played some terrible justice so we can’t go there and expect them to get worse. They sailed well and they worked well and we admire that. ”
Pakistan “lost sleep” over the losses but batted away Masood

Zimbabwe are effectively out of semi-final contention(T20 World)

Barring a brilliant phenom, but their troubled one-run palm over Pakistan earlier in the event gave skipper Craig Ervin confidence that they can spoil India’s party too.
“I think the palm against Pakistan gave us a huge amount of belief that we can beat any side in this case,” he said. “I don’t foresee that changing going into the next game. ”

Still, Ervine admitted that his bowlers will need to be at the top of their game against the likes of Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma.
Kohli, in particular, has been in electric form, hitting three unbeaten fifties in four matches, making him the most prolific run-getter in T20 World Cup history.

“It’s a great opportunity to drift against some of the stylish guys in the world, so there’s no reason guys wouldn’t want to actually get out there and produce the goods,” he said.
“ How often do you get a chance to put Virat Kohli in your pool? I am confident enough that our fast bowlers will want to come later. ”

When asked if he has any specific plan to counter the run machine Kohli, Ervine admitted that he does not.
“I suppose he’s too good a player,” he said.

“I don’t think that special plans really work for these guys because they’re so good at adapting to different conditions and different situations. ”

ISLAMABAD: Condemning the gun attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf convoy in which PTI chairman Imran Khan sustained bullet injuries, Interior Minister Rana Sanullah on Thursday claimed that the opposition party was using the tragic incident also for their political objectives.

In a press conference, the minister alleged that PTI was using the firing incident for its political purposes without proper verification and added that he condemned such a station and mindset.

“It is largely tragic that PTI is waging a hate campaign against the civilian government, rival political parties and state institutions,” he said.
He said senior PTI leader Asad Umar held him, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and a senior state officer responsible for the blast incident. He asked Asad Umar to hear the confessional statement of the accused, who was overpowered by a PTI worker and also arrested by the Punjab Police, before framing charges against anyone.

The interior minister said PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary had asked political workers to attack the houses of their rivals. He said, “When someone attacks our houses, your houses will not be spared either. ”
He said that only a small number of people came out of their houses after Fawad Chaudhary’s statement.

Regarding the video recording, televised in the media and circulated on social networks, he said that the original statement of the defendants is really important. The recording of the statement of the defendants was necessary and it was a necessary act on the part of the police, he said, adding that the recording of the videotape was against the law.
“Are you also demanding my abdication and the abdication of a senior minister for recording on videotape? The PTI should seek the abdication of Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for demanding the videotape statement of the accused, the security phase, as maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of the marchers was the sole responsibility of the parish government. ”

He said the prime minister and the leadership of all the governing confederate parties had condemned the incident explosively. On the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he sought a report from the Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab. According to the Prime Minister’s directives, the Ministry of Interior guarantees all kinds of cooperation in the deliberations, he said.
The minister said the civil government has also requested the parish government to form a joint inquiry team (JIT) comprising competent officers to ensure a fair and transparent hearing of the incident.

He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has always opposed and condemned violence in politics and such thinking as his party remains a victim of such thinking in history.
