MD CAT Exam Attracts 180,534 Students for Admission

For the first time, 180 thousand 534 students took the national and international level exams for admission to medical and dental colleges.
More than 66,000 candidates took the exam in Punjab after a week. (MD CAT)

Lahore, Peshawar (Special Correspondent, Crime Reporter, NNI) MD CAT exam organized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for admission in medical and dental colleges was held in which 180 thousand 534 students participated. While in Peshawar 43 students were arrested for copying with a secret Bluetooth device, For the first time in the history of the country M CAT was held simultaneously at the national and international levels, with 1,15,180 candidates at examination centers across the country while 382 Candidates participated at two centers in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, exam centers were established in 31 cities across the country. President PM&DC Dr. Rizwan Taj inspected the examination centers in Islamabad and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements. A total of 166,864 candidates appeared for the Punjab MD CAT exam. They included 45,121 girls and 21,743 boys. The question papers were delivered under the supervision of the district administration and police. The medical entrance test started at 10 AM and ended at 1:30 AM. There were 9 examination centers in Lahore for 19,014 aspirants, out of which seven were reserved for girls and two for boys.  Javed Akram expressed satisfaction with the arrangements. He said that we are trying to make the exam fair.UPA was spending more than the money it got, so Punjab’s Bena has approved an additional grant of Rs 1,000 per candidate for the university. UHS Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed said that the process of admissions in medical colleges will be started this month. 55% marks in MD CAT for MBBS admission and 50% marks for BDS admission is mandatory. UHS released the MDCAT Answer Key on its website after a few hours while the official result will be released in a week. Meanwhile, the parents took vows for the entrance of their children in the examination, and attended the Darbars, and Dargahs, while many parents also observed postpartum fasts. Meanwhile, in Peshawar, 43 students were arrested and booked for cheating in the MDCAT test using a Bluetooth device. Among them are 20 female students. Sections 419 and 420 are included in the FIR. According to NNI, Higher Education Secretary Anila Mahfouz Durani said that it was reported that a group will help students in the test with Bluetooth devices. Failed. Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nakhandim Aslam Chaudhry, taking strict notice of the matter, ordered the police and special branch to investigate the matter thoroughly, and question the students.
