Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari Convene in Dubai

Islamabad, Dubai, and Lahore have become the focal points of Pakistani politics, as significant meetings involving key political figures are underway. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, along with ex-President Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto, has convened in Dubai to discuss the roadmap for their political future. Today, an essential meeting between Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to take place, bearing immense significance. Furthermore, the Prime Minister has established a legal team to facilitate Nawaz Sharif’s return.

In the past three days, Sharif has resided in Dubai, accompanied by PML-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who recently joined him. The PML-N leadership is set to hold multiple meetings, the first being today with the presence of Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. Sources indicate that a second meeting will be organized after Eid to address matters pertaining to the date and logistics of Nawaz Sharif’s return. Notably, Nawaz Sharif will be staying at his son-in-law Ali Dar’s residence in Emirates Hills, Dubai, before heading to Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. He plans to celebrate Eid with his family in Dubai.

Insiders report that the initial round of meetings involving Sharif has concluded, during which the roadmap for his return to Pakistan has been deliberated upon. Legal experts are being consulted to navigate the legal complexities associated with his repatriation. Dubai will remain the epicenter of Pakistani politics during this critical phase, with many political leaders expected to visit. Nawaz Sharif is anticipated to engage in discussions with political figures in Dubai over the coming days, where he will be accorded appropriate protocol.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assembled a legal team dedicated to facilitating Nawaz Sharif’s return. The team, led by Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, includes Special Assistant Attaullah Tarar, Irfan Qadir, Legal Advisor Amjad Parvis, and other lawyers actively involved in Nawaz Sharif’s legal proceedings. In a significant development, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also arrived in Dubai. He traveled from Islamabad to Dubai via a special plane. Prior to his arrival, the Co-Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Asif Zardari, had reached Dubai on a similar flight.
