Punjab Tragedy: Gunmen Strike, Swift Police Response

Infostani Sources- Gunmen in Punjab killed six people, including a woman, as they worked in the fields owned by Turkish landowner Rais Akbar Solangi in the Rahim Yar Khan area of Machh. The victims—Shahzad Solangi, Shaban Solangi, Hafeez Solangi, Parvez Solangi, Wazir Solangi, and Hamid Aan Bibi—were busy harvesting crops when individuals, wanted by the police of the Sharr tribes for serious cases, opened fire.

Upon receiving information, the Machhi police reached the scene and, with the assistance of local residents, surrounded the firing members of the Shar tribe. In the ensuing encounter between the robbers and the police, four robbers—Umar Kosh, Rahm Dal, Ali Nowshar, and Karam—were killed.

However, during the retaliatory police action, the robbers fired a rocket launcher at an armored vehicle. Resulting in the martyrdom of Constable Muhammad Qasim and Elite Force jawan Jam Muhammad Ar Shad. Constables Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Imran, and seven others, including Mohammad Sarwar. They were injured. Promptly shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for medical assistance.

The incident took place in the Mauza Su Turki area. Where a dispute over 8 acres of land existed between the two tribes.
