Terrorists Down: 27 Killed, 25 Soldiers Martyred

Infostani Sources- Various operations in Dera Ismail Khan resulted in the death of 27 terrorists and the martyrdom of 25 soldiers, as reported by ISPR. The forces conducted intelligence-based operations in response to large-scale suspicious activities observed in the district between Monday and Tuesday. The forces destroyed a hideout in General Amir or Darazandah, killing 17 terrorists. In another operation in General Area Kalachi, they eliminated a terrorist hideout, resulting in the death of four terrorists. However, two soldiers were martyred during the exchange of fire.

On Tuesday morning, six terrorists attempted to attack an army post in Daraban. The army personnel successfully thwarted their attempt, and during a checkpoint encounter, a suicide attack occurred, causing a building to collapse. The ISPR confirmed that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of 23 soldiers, and the forces eliminated all six terrorists. The terrorists had engaged in various acts of terrorism, and the operations recovered arms, ammunition, and explosives.

Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists. Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism, and the sacrifices of the soldiers strengthen their resolve. President Dr. Arif Alvi condemned the terrorist attack. Expressing sympathy for the martyrs’ families and emphasizing that such acts won’t lower the morale of the security forces.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq, Dar-i-Bn, and Kalachi forces earned praise for executing successful operations. The President honored the soldiers, affirming a commitment to persist in the war against terrorism until its eradication. Interior Minister Sarfarar Bugti, Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Deputy Chairman Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Senate Leader Ishaq Dar, Opposition Leader Dr. Shahzad Wasim, Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the attack and expressed sorrow over the martyrs’ deaths.

Military and civil officers, including Corps Commander Peshawar, along with a large number of people. Attended the funeral prayers for the 23 soldiers held at Dera Ismail Khan Garrison. The military will bury the martyrs in their native areas with military honors.

The banned Tehreek Jihad Pakistan, associated with the TTP, claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on Dar Bin Chowki. Pakistan has summoned the Afghan government, urging the arrest and extradition of the terrorists’ facilitators and TTP leadership. The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Pakistan strongly protested the terrorist attack and demanded a thorough investigation. Strict action against the perpetrators, and immediate measures against all terrorist groups and their sanctuaries. Urging the Afghan government to act promptly.
